On an very regular basis pilots are going to need new or updated VFR sectionals, approach maps, pencils, headsets and maybe a new trip kit or updates for their Jeppesen or Bottlang flight manual or even want to switch to an electronic version of these publications (think weight savings!).
On this page we have collected a short list of pilot shops which have an abundance of items a pilot will ever need in his or her career. Paying them a personal visit can also be very interesting and worth while.
A number of stores (if not all) are present during air shows like AERO in Friedrichshafen (Germany, EU), Oshkosh (US) and Sun and Fun in Florida (US). Try to be there! TIP: It sometimes pays to wait until the last day of the show to buy anything, prices usually drop near closing time of the fair and you should be able to get a bargain then, but be quick as you will not be the only one waiting for that.
The list of shops below is nowhere near complete. If you find that one is not listedsend us an email我们将更新this list and be very thankful if you would donate to our site as compensation to keep it running.
Most pilot shops take and ship orders worldwide, some even have representation in other countries (Aircraft Spruce) and ship from there. This saves time and you have the item that much sooner. Be sure to have a valid credit card nearby!
